We worked with an emerging economy to upskill their financial sector and enable their largest institutions to issue their first climate-related financial risk reports
Client Context
- An international development agency wanted to see a national financial system accelerate its approach to climate change
- Their focus was both on capacity-building within the central bank and commercial institutions but also the creation of initial TCFD reports
Project Overview
- Conducted interactive workshops on climate risks, climate scenario analysis, and effective climate risk management
- Provided tools and resources for examining physical and transition risks
- Reviewed and revised climate-related financial reports from financial institutions based on global good practices
Results Achieved
- Produced content for workshops in conjunction with global regulators, leading commercial institutions, and sustainability standard-setters
- Wrote a guide on effective climate-related financial disclosures with a focus on best-practices for governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics & targets
- Supported the production of the first TCFD reports within the country
